About us

We are Stevie and Basty, we design all the artworks featured in this gallery.

We design aesthetic artworks that bring an uplifting vibe: sometimes very colourful and bright, sometimes soft, subtle, and calm, but always peaceful.

How do we make it?

To create the artworks, mixed media like Photography and Digital Design is used, including a spectrum of tools like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, AI, to basically explore and mix with the tools that are available in the conventional and digital field. In the end, the focus is on what truly matters: the result, the vibe, and the purpose of each piece.

The artworks are thoughtfully created in series and styles, curated from our own original work to form cohesive collections. This allows you to mix and match pieces with a specific vibe, style, or color palette to perfectly complement your interior.

About Stevie

Growing up in Zurich, Switzerland, Stevie developed a true passion for design during her teenage years. Her appreciation for quality and the subtle details that give products real value inspired her to pursue studies in industrial product design at University of Applied Science and Arts in Basel, Switzerland. Throughout her education, she created works that blur the line between art and functional objects.

During her studies, Stevie developed a deep and lasting love for ceramics, particularly drawn to the minimalist Japanese approach to creating and using everyday objects. This passion led her to a dedicated internship with a ceramic master in Tokyo and Seto, Japan.

After returning from Japan, Stevie chose to settle in Amsterdam. This is when Stevie started combining her passions and skills in a more commercial direction, using photography and design to create campaigns for brands.

Stevie’s refined taste for aesthetics and her passion for clean, organic design bring the perfect balance to the palette that she and Basty use in their artworks.

Stevie is the legal owner of the trade name ooohhh.art (BV) and responsible for all business and administrative operations of the gallery.

About Basty

Growing up in the Amsterdam area in the Netherlands, Basty always had a strong urge to create and design. At age 11, he dreamed of becoming an interior architect. During his teenage years, he realised he preferred hands-on learning and 'exploring life', traditional school and theoretical study weren’t his strengths, and he found it difficult to focus in those settings. This led him to study optics and photography, where he gained essential knowledge of analog photography, lens optics, lighting, and various analogue photographic techniques.

After completing his studies, Basty began working in relevant side jobs, such as commercial portrait photography and communication design for several companies and brands. At the same time, he worked as a self-employed designer, creating art, some of which was featured in-store at Roche Bobois, and experimenting with running his own business.

Basty is an artistic contributor to ooohhh.art, creating and designing a part of the artworks that you see in the gallery.
