Botanical Dream
Botanical Dream is a collection of three photographic artworks exploring the space between reality and imagination. Created using conventional photographic techniques, the works are staged within carefully constructed dioramas using real flowers, coloured light, long exposure and motion blur. The resulting images transform botanical subjects into dreamlike compositions that feel both familiar and otherworldly. Inspired by the fleeting nature of light and perception, the series balances photographic precision with a painterly softness, creating a sense of movement, atmosphere and quiet wonder.
Between photograph and dream
Real flowers sit inside constructed scenes of coloured light. Long exposure and motion blur soften edges until the botanical subject reads less as a specimen and more as an atmosphere: familiar forms held in a state of drift. The images keep photographic truth close while allowing perception to loosen.
Soft presence on the wall
Hung together, the three works form a quiet sequence of colour and bloom. Alone, a single image still holds a room with light and softness rather than graphic force. Their energy comes from atmosphere and movement, not from dominating the architecture around them.
Made with flower, light and time
The works are built in the studio as physical dioramas: real flowers, coloured light, camera, and time. Long exposure and motion blur are part of the making, not effects added later. What remains is a photographic image that keeps the staging close while letting light and movement reshape how the flower is seen.
Botanical Dream in your space
Scale, light and surrounding materials can significantly influence how the work is experienced. We can help you select the most suitable artwork, size and placement, and create a complimentary visual mock-up using a photograph of your wall or interior so you can see how Botanical Dream could work within your space.
