I See You

I See You is a series of three retro-futuristic portraits built around looking and being seen. Mid-century fashion and advertising references meet bold colour, graphic form and a clear sense of presence. The works feel familiar and forward-looking at once: playful, precise and unmistakably staged for the gaze.

Looking, and being looked at

Each work centres on a figure meeting the viewer through binoculars. Colour, pattern and pose keep the image graphic and immediate, while the act of looking becomes the subject itself. The portraits do not invite quiet observation so much as a reciprocal stare: image, performance and self-presentation held in one frame.

Presence on the wall

In a room, the works register first as colour and figure, then as a pointed exchange of looks. Hung together they form a clear visual trio; alone, a single work still holds attention without needing to dominate the architecture. Their energy comes from presence and graphic clarity rather than scale alone.
